Sans Souci Nature Area

Short walk, great coast view and great for kids and adults alike!

This short little walk from the main road out to the coast is well worth 10 minutes of your time! It starts just outside of down town past monks. You will see the entrance and a "Bird Hide" sign on the right side of the road. It is a short 3 minute walk in the woods until you emerge on a grassy hill. There are two benches here and a beautiful view of the bay. If you keep walking around the corner away from down town Ballyvaughan you run into a little bird blind or bird hide as they called it. You can walk back into more paths this way they all lead back into each other and back to the road. There are some fun bug homes and a sign with some birds you might see on the beach. There is also a fun little fountain and stone area between the two entrances that is very cute. And even past that there are more benches and a sort of memorial with the Irish Constitution.
