Great, uncrowded shoreline walk! Awesome karsts and wild Atlantic waves!
This little park is just past downtown Doolin next to the Eagles Camping and Caravan Park. The walk starts out on a grassy field with some views of rock walls. If you continue down the field you very quickly run into some karsts. If you look closely you may even find Richard Long's stone circle amidst the karst landscape. "A Circle in Ireland" was made by artists Richard Long in 1975 for a photograph that is now exhibited in The Tate in London.
If you continue past Richard Long's circle you can do some rock scrambling to get a good view of the Atlantic but be careful! Stay to the top shelf of these karst stairs freak waves are a normal occurrence and you do not want to be trapped in the power of the Atlantic unintentionally! You will get a great wave show if you are there on a windy day. The power of the Atlantic is very prevalent. Watching these powerful waves crash up against the rocks and sky rocket much higher than where you are standing is a humbling experience.
